Baking Assistant, starting wage $13.50/hr (part time 15-20 hrs/week) - May require some weekend shifts. This role is a crucial component to our kitchen staff. Work would include: batch prep, baking, and various kitchen maintenance duties. Job requirements: capable of doing quick math, measuring ingredients accurately, following detailed instructions, and adhering to protocol and processes required in the kitchen. Priority will be given to those with previous kitchen experience. Knowing how to make any of our specialty items is a plus (such as macarons, cupcakes, muffins, etc.)
Cake Decorator, starting wage $13.50/hr - final wage will be set after a skills assessment (part time 15-20 hrs/week) - May require some occasional weekend shifts. Custom cake and cookie orders are the backbone of our business. We have a few decorators on hand, but as our bookings have increased, so has the need for more decorators. Our decorators would be focused on the aesthetic portion of orders, but would also be assisting with prepping and baking if the need arises. Requirements: basic knowledge of simple cake decorating. Bonus if you have experience doing fondant work. Also bonus if you have experience decorating sugar cookies with royal icing.
Front Counter/Admin Assistant, starting wage $13.50/hr (part time 20-30 hrs/week). Minimum age for hire is 16. - Would require some weekend shifts. We need a responsible, energetic, organized, self-motivated person to greet our customers. This role would require assisting customers with making selections from our grab & go case, and running the register. Responsibilities include: maintaining the cleanliness & organization of the customer focused side of the bakery (i.e. retail, cafe, bathroom), assisting with administrative needs such as customer info data entry & updating custom orders, answering the phone and assisting with customer questions. Other various admin tasks may be assigned based on our needs.
